I had never had radishes served in this way until I had never had radishes served in this way until I came to France. Fresh and crunchy radishes served with butter and/or salt seem to be a staple on the table for an evening apéro* with drinks, especially in the spring and summer. Have you ever eaten radishes this way?

*Apéro is short for apéritif. Similar to happy hour, in France, it’s a time to unwind with friends & family around drinks and some small plates & snacks.

Can you see why this museum is one of my favorite Can you see why this museum is one of my favorite museums in Paris?
Dedicated to the French sculptor, Auguste Rodin, the Rodin Museum in Paris showcases most of his major works, not only in the beautiful Hôtel Biron, but also throughout the extensive gardens. You can see some roses blooming in this reel 🌹👀

I always recommend this museum to anyone coming to Paris. Take your time walking through the galleries, stroll through the grounds, and then treat yourself to a coffee or pastry at the café in the garden!

Have you been??

Ad I have a confession to make…🙈 Senior yea Ad I have a confession to make…🙈

Senior year of high school, I regularly showed up late to my 1st-period French class or sometimes skipped it altogether. This had nothing to do with me not being a morning person or me not liking French (I did become a French teacher after all!). It had everything to do with the poorly-run class.

Let me explain:

It was a mixed-level class and the 4 of us in the class who were preparing for the Advanced Placement French Language Exam were often told to sit in the corner and “speak in French.” With little direction, our enlightening conversations revolved around asking “Ça va?” and “Quel temps fait-il?”

What a motivation killer. We saw no progress. We got no feedback. And quite frankly, I saw little reason to show up.

This is coming from someone who LOVES French and decided to become a French teacher at the age of 12. I even like grammar and conjugating verbs. Exceptions to the grammar and pronunciation rules excite me. And yet—I skipped French class in high school.

Motivation is a huge factor in learning a language.

If you’re looking for motivation to learn French, check out the @lingoda_official Language Sprint Challenge. Lingoda is an online language school that focuses on communication first. With their small group classes (5 students max) and their well-trained teachers, you’ll see results in a short period of time because you’ll have opportunities to practice and get feedback in every class. Wait, there’s more ⬇️

👀 Check out the motivating factor on these two options:

Super Sprint: 30 classes/month for 2 months, attend all classes & get 100% cashback
Regular Sprint: 15 classes/month for 2 months, attend all classes & get 50% cashback
